Russian Sputnik V vaccine may arrive in DPR by yearend 

Donetsk, Dec 14 – DAN. Russian coronavirus vaccine, Sputnik V, may arrive in the DPR by the yearend, said DPR Head Denis Pushilin speaking at the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

“Of course, we mostly count on Russia only, and the issue of withstanding the infection is not an exclusion. Of course, we count on the Sputnik V, our Ministry of Health is in negotiations with the Russian Health Ministry,” he said.

“We expect to vaccine as much people as possible, there are certain figures that could later testify to the herd immunity, it is approximately 50-60 pc of population.”

The latest reports show the total of 12,252 cases of COVID-19 across the DPR; the Republic went on high alert and adopted a number of restrictive measures to curb the infection spread. *ot
