Ukrainian forces step up shelling of DPR over week – JCCC

Donetsk, Sep 16 – DAN. Ukrainian armed formations increased the number of strikes at the Donetsk People’s Republic from 86 to 106 over the past week compared with the previous reporting period, the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported on Monday.

“In the period from September 9 to September 15, 106 ceasefire violations by Ukrainian armed formations were recorded,” the report said.  “Ukrainian forces expended two tons or 794 rounds of ammunition firing at DPR areas, including five 122mm artillery rounds and 189 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds.”

Seven civilians were hurt and 21 houses were damaged in Ukrainian army strikes in the designated period, the JCCC said.*jk
